Our Process
A structured approach designed to keep custom projects clear, efficient, and on schedule.
Custom furniture and commercial installations are collaborative by nature. Our process is designed to provide clarity, consistency, and confidence from first conversation through final delivery.
1. Initial Inquiry
Every project begins with a detailed inquiry through our quote form. This allows us to understand the intended use, scale, materials, timeline, and delivery requirements before moving forward.
Once received, all inquiries are reviewed personally.
2. Design & Scope Alignment
Qualified projects move into a design discussion where we align on:
Project use (residential or commercial)
Wood species and slab selection
Epoxy color and layout (if applicable)
Base design and dimensions
Finish system and performance expectations
Delivery location and access considerations
At this stage, we provide design options, estimated pricing, and lead-time guidance.
3. Material Selection & Planning
Once the project scope is approved, materials are selected and reserved. Live-edge slabs are evaluated for stability, grain character, and suitability for the intended environment.
Commercial projects are engineered with structural integrity and daily use in mind, including allowance for movement, span, and long-term serviceability.
4. Fabrication
Each piece is fabricated in our Texas shop using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques.
This phase may include:
Slab flattening and stabilization
Epoxy pours and curing (when applicable)
Joinery, reinforcement, and base integration
Progressive sanding and surface preparation
Build timelines vary based on project complexity, size, and finish requirements.
5. Finishing
All projects are finished with Corley Woodcraft Gold Brew, a non-toxic, fast-curing, graphene-infused hard wax oil.
This penetrating finish is selected for:
Water resistance
Natural feel and appearance
Ease of maintenance
Long-term serviceability in high-traffic environments
Unlike film-forming coatings, this finish allows wear areas to be refreshed over time without stripping or heavy sanding.
6. Quality Review
Before delivery, each project undergoes a final inspection to ensure:
Surface consistency and finish quality
Structural integrity
Dimensional accuracy
Overall fit and presentation
Care and maintenance guidelines are prepared for the client at this stage.
7. Delivery & Installation
Projects are carefully prepared for transport and delivered according to the project plan.
Local and regional deliveries are coordinated directly
Nationwide delivery is available
Installation support is available for commercial projects when required
Final placement and orientation are reviewed to ensure the piece performs as intended in its environment.
8. Ongoing Care & Support
Custom furniture is meant to be used and enjoyed. As surfaces naturally wear over time, maintenance and refresh guidance is available to help extend the life and appearance of the piece.
All projects are backed by a workmanship warranty and include care and maintenance guidance to support long-term performance.
We remain available after delivery for questions regarding care, maintenance, or future refinishing needs.
Every project at Lucky Clover Texas follows a proven process that balances the design flexibility with clear communication. Whether it’s a residential statement piece or a large commercial installation, the goal is the same: no surprises — and a finished piece built to last.
Commercial projects may include additional coordination to align with construction schedules, install access, and on-site requirements.
